The Blog Turns 6!

Happy Birthday Havtastic, Happy Birthday to you! I held a little giveaway on Instagram to celebrate my blog's 6th birthday (it ends tomorrow if you still want to enter- My page is @havtastic). 

My blog started out as a means to preoccupy myself. At that time, I was a new mom still battling postpartum depression. My world revolved around my son, whom I adore. I loved being  a mother but I was feeling very lonely. I didn't have many friends that had children.  I wasn't feeling very good about myself and I wanted to change that. As a true Aries, I always feel better when I'm keeping myself busy. That's how Beauty With Brains was born.

It was a  hobby but as I got into it more, it became more of a passion. I was always into beauty and fashion and writing about it just made me happy. I didn't have many followers at that time but I didn't care. I had a voice. Then, last summer, I decided to change the name of my blog to something more unique and personal. Havtastic has always been my Twitter handle. I wanted a twitter handle with no symbols or numbers. After pondering over numerous options, to name my blog Havtastic just seemed like a no-brainer.

 As a result of my blog, I got to meet so many cool people that shared my interests. My blog has come a long way, and it just keeps improving. I am grateful for the support of my friends and sisters (they take A LOT of my pictures). Thank you for being part of my journey!

I would like to thank all my readers and subscribers. It is very humbling when I see that my blog is read all around the world. I am extremely grateful.
