The best part of executing the perfect makeup look is taking a selfie and posting it on social media to show off your handiwork. My favorite part of social media sites like Twitter is all the cool people I've met that share the same interests as me. Now there are apps dedicated to beautyholics like me! I love technology!




About GlamST
GlamST is an app for iOS that allows you to discover new makeup by choosing the styles you love and trying makeup on your photo. You can freely experiment from the comfort of your phone, try on makeup by snapping a selfie, choosing your style and seeing how makeup would really look on your face. Our goal is to make women feel comfortable with their choices and who they are daring them to experience the power of makeup and find the best-looking version of them. 

GlamST was created by two women from Uruguay (2 cheers each for woman and Latina power)! By using their talents in engineering, these women created an app that lets you try on different looks to see what makes you look your best by uploading pictures of yourself. this comes really handy when shopping online and you're not physically there to try the product.

I tried out the app and it is pretty cool. You can take a picture of yourself or upload one. Then you adjust your features for more accuracy. Then you get to choose from a variety of looks, including celeb ones to try on yourself.

 I'll admit, the enhanced version with the makeup added looks a tad creepy to me since its computer-generated. It doesn't really resemble the Miley Cyrus-inspired look I chose. But this app has very great aspects. It gives you three options from least expensive to most on the products you can use to achieve the look you desire. I really like that feature since it considers different budgets. It is the highlight of this app. And all the products are linked to Sephora which makes it super convenient to purchase.

I would keep this app for the product suggestions and not try the makeup looks. They probably will keep working on the app so it can look a little realistic but for now I like just looking at the pictures and knowing what was used to achieve that particular makeup look.
