Review: Unforgettable You by Daisy Fuentes

May 27, 2010

I was contacted by Victoria at ID and I was given the opportunity to receive and review Daisy Fuentes' new book!

From the Publishers

EVERYBODY WANTS TO BE NOTICED AND ADMIRED; THEY WANT TO BE UNFORGETTABLE.

For more than two decades, women have approached model, fashion designer, and international TV personality Daisy real for her take on what makes a person more desirable, more billable, and more bankable than others. What exactly is that "it" factor?

Revealing tips that she has learned from her life in and out of the spotlight and from other celebrities and experts, Daisy shows you how to perceive yourself honestly and accurately. Only then can you feel and look absolutely irresistible, with a head-turning walk and a million-dollar smile. Unforgettable You helps you to become the very best version of yourself. Daisy breaks her approach down to easy-to-follow areas on which to focus your improvements: inner reflection, etiquette, relationships, sex, spirituality, and beauty.

By the end of this book, you’ll know Daisy better, but most important, you’ll know yourself better and you will be armed with all the tools you need to be unforgettable—from the inside out.

Now On To My Review...

This book was a fun read for me. In Unforgettable You, Daisy Fuentes gives tips on style, etiquette and dating that can make you be unforgettable. Throughout the book, you also see small excerpts on famous women  that she considers unforgettable.

I liked the fact that she had an emphasis on having class and grace and that there can be a balance between acting like a lady and having fun. I also liked her informal way of writing, I really felt like she was one of my girlfriends giving me advice. She didn't use all that self-important babble which can be pretty annoying. It really seems like she cared about sharing her views with her fans and I didn't once suspect that this book was ghostwritten.

The only thing that I didn't like was that some of the tips and quotes mentioned in the book have been used to death by women's magazine so I wasn't impressed in that area, but she makes up for it with the funny personal stories and commentary. Other than the overused quotes, I enjoyed reading this book. I would reccomend it as something you can read at the beach or at the poolside. You can purchase this book at Barnes & Noble and most bookstores, it retails around $24.00.

Discalimer: I received this book gratuitous, however this did not affect my review.
