I really liked Rihanna's outfit. The petal-pink dress is a great color for Spring and it goes well with the taupe shoes and belt. I really liked the little socks too, they were very cute and added a little youthful touch to her ensemble. Two thumbs up!

I apologize for the cheesy post name lol. Last night I had a pre-bday social gathering. There was a "special guest" and I had so much fun. It was crazy and it certainly was a memorable birthday!
Loose Floral Top- Tramp
Liquid Leggings- Members Only
Cut-out Booties- Charlotte Russe
I wore liquid leggings and the peep-toe booties so the florals won't look so sweet. Those shoes were super comfy, I survived the whole night walking in them. I'm going to add a couple of pics from the event as a treat. They're a bit NSFW and these are the tame ones!

Leopard Print Nails Tutorial
Mar 20, 2010
People are always asking me how I do this design on my nails. I decided to share the wealth and do a tutorial on it. It's very simple and it's a great way to make a statement. Enjoy and I would love to see pics of your final results so feel free to email me.
What You'll Need
-Base Color
-Color for Spots
-Color for Edges
-Clear Nail Polish
-Toothpick
-Index Card
STEP ONE
Prep your nails as you would usually do before painting them. Then, apply the base (allover) color to your nails.
STEP TWO
With a different color nail polish, paint 3-4 (or more depending on length of nail) short strokes on each nail. Be sure not to add too much polish to each "dot" or it will get lumpy.
STEP THREE
Pour a small amount of the color you're going to use for the edges on an index card. then using a toothpick, dab some of the polish around the edges of the "dots" you made. Don't complete enclose the dots, it will make it look more leopard-like. Wait a couple of minutes before applying a top coat. And voila! You have fun, cute nails.

So I went to this Revlon Warehouse located on 38th Street in Manhattan a while ago. I've been slacking with this post but better late than never, right? Anywho so my friend told me about this warehouse and let me tell you, the prices are crazy! Most of the stuff is like 50-75% off! I love sales so I was in heaven lol. So here's what I got:
Now with the reviews. I'm going to start with the Revlon "Just Pinched" Cheek Stains. Right when I was about to pay for my purchases, I see a big bin of this stuff next to the register. They were going for 49 cents so I decided to get all the shades. Well basically with this stuff, you get what you pay for. They're inconsistent, a pain to apply and the consistency is kind of gross. It feels like you're rubbing jell-o on your face. The colors look very pretty on the swatches but they're so sheer on the face, you can hardly see anything. And some shades will look nice and some will make you look like you have a dirty face. So all in all, I'll just stick with my Benefit Benetint cheek stain.
Pros: pretty shades, true to color, easy to blend
Cons: inconsistent with texture, weird consistency, not very pigmented
Overall Rating: 2/5

from left to right: Playful Pink, Plum Flushed, Cheeky Cherry, Peach Afterglow
Continuing with the face products, I also got the Revlon Colorstay Foundation and the Revlon Colorstay Mineral Finish Powder. I loooove them both! Thr Revlon Foundation is the ish! It's so easy to blend and gives great coverage. I also love that you can build up on the coverage and it doesn't feel heavy on your face. the only thing I don't like was the smell but it's not that big of an issue. That's why it got a 4 of a 5, and because it doesn't come with a pump. The Mineral Finish Powder is a great setting powder. It makes my skin look near-flawless. I got the shade "Suntan Matte". It's not that matte since it has a very slight shimmer but I don't mind it. I think it adds a very subtle glow.
Revlon Colorstay Foundation in "Rich Ginger" and Revlon Colorstay Mineral Finish Powder in "Suntan Matte"
Revlon Colorstay Foundation
Pros: easy to blend, good coverage (can build on it), great price, doesn't feel heavy
Cons: smell
Overall Rating: 4/5
Revlon Colorstay Mineral Finish Powder
Pros: light, doesn't feel cakey, doesn't leave skin powdery-looking
Cons: slight shimmer
Overall Rating: 4.5/5, only comes in 3 shades
And on to the lip stuff. I'm not going to break them down because I liked them all and they were all similar sort off. The only difference was that the Colorstay Mineral one had a fruity, pleasant smell. I'm in love with the creme gloss, it goes on like a liquid lipstick and it lasts pretty long. I also love the shade of nudey-pink I bought. I definitely reccomend.
from left to right: Revlon Matte Lipstick in "Nude Attitude", Revlon Creme Gloss in "Slip Into Pink", Revlon Colorstay Mineral Lip Glaze in "Continuous Pink"

So aside from the cheek stains, I like my purhases. I've become a Revlon fan, they're my fave drugstore brand now.
SJP Looking A Hot Mess!

SJP Looking A Hot Mess!
Mar 8, 2010
I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me, but SJP was not looking her best last night at the Oscar's. Her Chanel Couture gown had some potential but I was too distracted by her hair, to fully appreciate it. What was up with the flyaways? Don't they supply these people with emergency hairspray or something? Her makeup made her look old and overall she looked starved. Such a contrast from last year, because she looked magnificent at the 2009 Oscars. Maybe some better luck next year.

FOTD: Summer Sunset

FOTD: Summer Sunset
Mar 6, 2010
Hey Everyone,
I let my friend Anahi use my face so she can develop her portfolio. She used a pretty combination of rust and gold on my eyes and kept the rest of my face neutral. The colors reminded me of sunsets in the Summer, hence the name. She also contoured my nose so it was like I got a temporary nose job for free lol. Let me know what you think of the look and her skills as a makeup artist.
Products Used:
Face:
MAC Stick Foundation in NW35
MAC Studio Concealer in NC45
MAC Stick Foundation in NC50 (for contouring)
MAC blush in "Melba" & "Trade Gold"
MAC Loose Iridescent Powder in "Golden Bronze"
Eyes;
MAC eyeshadow in "Espresso" (to fill in brows)
MAC concealer in "NC15" (under brow)
NYX eyeshadow in "Gold" (lid)
NYX eyeshadow in "Rust" (crease)
MAC Kohl Eyeliner in "Feline" (lower lashline & waterline)
